“I cannot thank Corridor enough for their expert dispatch of a critical call last night.  I happen to be on vacation and my partner was unreachable for almost 2 hours!  Once the staff reached Gretchen Godwin, RN, the General Manager to let her know they felt it was a critical situation, indeed it was!  My patient had surgery done in January and a stent placed in his colon.  His son called frantic that his father had not had a bowel movement for 3 days.  The son had given his father a stool softner as well as a fleets enema and nothing was working.  To make matters worse the patient was 85, in a wheelchair, on hospice and had a heart condition.  Once Gretchen understood the critical nature of this issue she quickly gave the patient’s son advice to call the ER and speak to a physician for advice on how to proceed.  In the meantime Gretchen was going to try to reach me even though I was on vacation.  I happed to pick up my cell phone in the Bahama’s and was able to call the patient’s son and save this man’s life for just a little while longer… what a happy ending and kudos to Corridor, their staff is “on their toes” and an awesome team!!
